Disconnect inside Content Studio
Sign in to Content Studio, open Connections, and choose Remove connection for the relevant channel. A YouTube removal first disables local access and removes the encrypted credentials, channel identifiers, upload-session checkpoints, provider video or post references, and publishing-attempt logs held by Content Studio. It then asks Google to revoke authorization and reports if Google does not confirm the request. Videos already published on YouTube are not deleted.
Revoke access at the platform
You may also remove General Dev Content Studio from the connected-app or security settings within Google, LinkedIn, X, or Instagram. Revoking at the platform prevents future API access even if Content Studio is temporarily unavailable.
Request full deletion
Email hello@general.dev from the address associated with the account. Name the platform and the public username or channel identifier. Never send a password, access token, recovery code, or private key.
We may ask for a limited verification step before deleting information so that someone else cannot remove your data. Verified requests are handled without unreasonable delay and subject to any narrow retention required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
What is removed
A connection deletion removes the stored OAuth credentials and connected-account identity data. For YouTube, it also removes the locally held YouTube API identifiers, resumable-upload state, publishing jobs, and attempt records while retaining the underlying editorial plan and uploaded source file. A verified full-deletion request can also cover uploaded media and editorial plans associated with the requester. Posts already published to a third-party platform remain there and must be deleted through that platform.
